Return & Refund Policy
If something isn't right, here's how returns work.
Return window. You may request a return within 30 days of delivery.
Condition. Because every board is hot-swap and VIAL-remappable, you're welcome to plug it in and try it. To be eligible for a return it must come back in original, resellable condition with all parts, cables, and packaging included. Boards showing heavy use, physical damage, or missing components may receive a partial refund.
How to start a return. Email us at kit@kitboards.xyz with your order number and the reason — please don't send anything back before we've replied with instructions.
Return shipping. For change-of-mind returns, you cover return shipping; there's no restocking fee. If the return is our fault (wrong item, defect, or damage in transit), we cover it.
Refunds. Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll refund the original payment method within 5 business days. The original Priority Mail upgrade fee, if any, isn't refundable.
Defective or dead-on-arrival boards. Every keyboard is assembled and tested before it ships, but if yours arrives faulty, contact us within 14 days and we'll repair, replace, or refund it at no cost to you — including return shipping.
Warranty. All boards carry a 90-day warranty against assembly defects (loose sockets, cold solder joints, wiring faults). Normal wear, accidental damage, and issues from user modification aren't covered.
